CMS Student and Parent News – Nov. 15th – 19th
Parents,
Report cards for the 2nd grading period will be sent home this Wednesday (Nov. 17th). Please review and contact your child’s teacher if they are failing one or more subjects to find out ways we can work together to their success. Please remember we now are following our regular promotion guidelines. All students must pass 3 out of 4 of their core subject classes to be promoted. Our end-of-grade test also counts 20% towards their final average for the school year.
Reminder to athletes and students participating in clubs or after-school activities. These students must be passing 5 out of 6 of their classes each grading period to participate or try-out for sports or stay active in a club or other activity.

Unified Champions and “World Kindness Day”
Our first Unified Champions activity “notes of encouragement and kindness” was a tremendous success. We had over 1000 notes that will be distributed on Monday to staff and students! A huge “Thank you!” to all who participated. Another example why our Chase students and community is the best!
HOMEWORK HELP
We now have free homework help for any student in all grade levels from 3:00-4:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We highly encourage students who are returning from quarantine and those who failed one or more courses this grading period to attend for this assistance. Parents will need to arrange transportation to pick up their child promptly at 4pm out front. Contact the school or your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
