CMS Parents and Community,
We appreciate all your assistance in helping our year get started well. Please continue to notify the school for all Covid-related testing and quarantine.
We hope you can make plans this week to support our football team on Wednesday evening. Our game will be at 7pm “under the lights” at Chase High Stadium as we host East Middle.
This is also the Rutherford County Schools McNair Foundation Get REAL week as we focus on activities for our students highlighting college opportunities. There will be activities posted on Canvas and daily prizes available for our students. Please encourage your child to share this information and have discussions about it each day.

Tardy and Early Checkout Reminder
Your child’s first class begins at 7:45am. It is crucial that they are on time and not being checked out excessively each grading period. Just a reminder that students who have a combined 5 tardies or early checkout will begin having lunch detention, in school suspension, and other consequences. Please discuss any concerns you may have with administration.
Visitors and Outside Food Deliveries
With the high community Covid numbers we can not accept any food deliveries from outside of the school at this time. Please make sure to tell any family members who have typically brought or sent food to schools during lunch period.
We would also need to continue limiting visitors to the school.
We will continue to monitor this throughout the school year and make any necessary changes.

NEW Nutritious Food Options
Parents, Chartwell our food service provider has expanded their menu this year. I encourage you to visit the nutrislice menu site each week and have your child take advantage of these free meals. Beginning this week students at lunch will have the option of one of three main entrée choices, 2 of 3 vegetables, and 1 of 2 fruit choices each day. They have the option of 1 of 2 breakfast choices each morning.
