CMS Parents and Community,
Please join us in remembering the 20th anniversary of 9/11. I challenge everyone to remind our children of the sacrifices and service of our Veterans and First Responders on that tragic day in our nation’s history. Despite our differences, opinions, and backgrounds we came together as a nation of proud and resilient Americans. I appreciate being part of a community that still values these same beliefs. May we continue to respect and love each other as Americans and may God Bless America!

Individual Student Pictures
Please note we have student individual pictures on Friday. Every student will have their picture taken for our yearbook photo. Picture package information was sent home will all students last Thursday. See information about online payment option on Friday’s events on this week’s post. We will have a make-up picture date on October 19th for any students who can not attend school due to quarantine or sickness.

Tardy and Early Checkout Reminder
Your child’s first class begins at 7:45am. It is crucial that they are on time and not being checked out excessively each grading period. Just a reminder that students who have a combined 5 tardies or early checkout will begin having lunch detention, in school suspension, and other consequences. Please discuss any concerns you may have with administration.
Visitors and Outside Food Deliveries
With the high community Covid numbers we can not accept any food deliveries from outside of the school at this time. Please make sure to tell any family members who have typically brought or sent food to schools during lunch period.
We would also need to continue limiting visitors to the school.
We will continue to monitor this throughout the school year and make any necessary changes.

NEW Nutritious Food Options
Parents, Chartwell our food service provider has expanded their menu this year. I encourage you to visit the nutrislice menu site each week and have your child take advantage of these free meals. Beginning this week students at lunch will have the option of one of three main entrée choices, 2 of 3 vegetables, and 1 of 2 fruit choices each day. They have the option of 1 of 2 breakfast choices each morning.

-Girls Softball and Boys Soccer AWAY vs Shelby - 4:15pm
-Midterm reports sent home with students – please sign and return. Contact your child’s teachers to arrange a parent conference if you have any concerns or need to meet.
Tues., Sept. 14th

Lunch – Choice of main entrée – cheese sandwich, turkey and cheese sub

When you have filled out the order form that you will receive from the school, please give it to your student to return to the school on picture day.
Please include payment with your order form.
For your convenience, you may prepay for your students’ pictures by going to www.carolinaphoto.net
Navigate to our website.
Click Fall Prepay.
Select your school name on the drop-down tab to start placing your order online.
The online prepay option will be available until the end of business on the scheduled picture day.
