CMS Student and Parent Announcements – March 1st – 5th    

REPORT CARDS FOR THE 4TH GRADING PERIOD WILL BE MAILED TO ALL PARENTS ON MONDAY, MARCH 1ST.  PLEASE REVIEW AND CONTACT YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER IF YOU NEED TO REQUEST A PARENT CONFERENCE. 

PARENTS, IF YOU CHILD IS INTERESTED IN PLAYING GIRLS SOFTBALL, WRESTLING, BOYS BASEBALL, TRACK, OR GIRLS SOCCER THEN THEY MUST PASS 5 OUT OF 6 CLASSES FOR THIS NEW 5TH GRADING PERIOD ENDING APRIL 2ND. PLEASE CHECK WEEKLY WITH YOUR CHILD BY HAVING THEM SHOW YOU EACH CLASS IN CANVAS WHICH SHOW THEIR CURRENT GRADE AND ANY ASSIGNMENTS NOT SUBMITTED.

Student Assignments for this current week were posted on Friday, February 26th at 4:00 pm.   All work for this week will be due no later than Sunday, March 7th  at 11:59pm.

Sports Game attendance increase and updated information

We are excited to now have increased attendance at our outdoor sports events due to Governor Cooper’s executive order that began Friday, February 26th.  We now can have increase attendance and all football and boys soccer games can have visitors attending for HOME and AWAY games!  We also encourage our students to plan to begin staying after school or returning for our home games.  Our next home game will be this Thursday’s boys soccer game.  Concessions will be sold and admission will be $5 for adults and students for all middle school conference games.

Cheerleading applications for the 21-22 School Year

Current 6th and 7th grade students interested in cheerleading for next school year need to check their Canvas Announcements page to access an application for the 21-22 school year.  Students who are interested need the Google form located in this announcement.  Students will also need ask (2) teachers to complete recommendations.  All applications and recommendations are due no later than Friday, March 19th.  Contact Mrs. Kush (Morris) for more information.

 

WIN Time Activities – Now occurring – daily expectation

WIN Time Activities for Both Remote and Hybrid Students – Students should now daily log into Freckle during WIN Time. For now, all students will only  complete Math assignments.  Under the Math section, you will choose adaptive Math. Students can choose any category in this section preferably the suggested choice. This also applies to Remote Only Students – please make sure to send your remote students a message which includes expectations of working on this activities for 30-45 minutes, 4 days each week.

Chase Middle Yearbook – Available now for purchase online

Due to the spring sports being later in the year we will have a summer delivery date for our yearbook.  Save money and purchase your child’s yearbook online for $35 per book (after tax and fees). The online sales will end on 5/7/21.  The web page is www.carolinaphoto.net (Links to an external site.)  click on order picture/yearbooks at the top right and then scroll down and click on yearbook orders and then just follow on screen instructions. Enter school code 93210.  Deadline to save $5 is  5/14/21. We will have a limited amount available for purchase at school for $40 each during the summer.   

 

Chase Middle Spirit Week Daily Activities

Students and staff lets have some fun this week and enjoy our daily spirit week activities.  Remote students please submit pictures to Mr. Norville.  I am sure we will get plenty of pictures for our yearbook this week!  See the student Canvas announcement or daily activities are listed below.

 

Daily Events:

MONDAY (3/1) – Hybrid A Group Attends School IN PERSON

– Breakfast:  Cinnamon Bun crunch mania, apple juice, milk

-Lunch: BBQ Chicken Sandwich, potato wedges, diced peaches, milk

– Report Cards MAILED home with all students

-CMS Spirit Week Activity – “Character Day” Dress like your favorite book or movie character.

 

TUESDAY (3/2)  – Hybrid A Group Attends School IN PERSON

– Breakfast:  Breakfast Pizza, orange juice, milk

-Lunch:  Pepperoni Pizza, baked beans, diced pears, milk

-Students need to complete assignments for this day and contact any teachers for questions.

– Football Game – AWAY vs Crest Middle -Chase parents and student CAN attend – 4:30pm

 

THURSDAY (3/4)  – Hybrid B Group Attends School IN PERSON

– Breakfast: Triple Berry Mini French Toast, grape juice, milk

-Lunch:  Pepperoni Pizza, corn, fruit mix, milk

-CMS Spirit Week Activity – “Fancy Dress” – wear your best outfit

– Boys Soccer HOME vs Shelby Middle – 4:00pm

 

FRIDAY (3/5) – Hybrid B Group Attends School IN PERSON
