CMS Student and Parent Announcements - Feb 8th – 12th
NOTE: MID TERM REPORTS WERE SENT HOME LAST WEEK WITH ALL STUDENTS THIS WEEK. (HYBRID A GROUP ON MONDAY, REMOTE SHARED ON CANVAS ON TUESDAY, HYBRID GROUP B ON THURSDAY) PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SIGNED AND RETURNED YOUR CHILD’S MIDTERM. ALL REMOTE PARENTS NEED TO FOLLOW STUDENT CANVAS INSTRUCTIONS TO COMMUNICATE BACK TO EACH TEACHER.
Student Assignments for this week were posted on Friday, February 5th at 4:00 pm. All work for this week will be due no later than Sunday, February 14th at 11:59pm.
Football Information
Our new head coach, Coach Tavon Dover, reminds students of football practice beginning on Monday, February 8th. Practice will be after school from 3:00-5:00pm every day Monday - Friday. With the first game on February 18th PLAYERS MUST ATTEND ALL PRACTICES TO BE ELIGIBLE TO GET THE TIME REQUIRED PRIOR TO CONTACT AND THE FIRST GAME. Boy’s Soccer
Our boy's soccer season begins Monday, February 8th. Soccer will have try-outs on Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 8th & 9th) from 3pm - 4:30pm each day. Players must be passing 5 out of 6 of their classes for this 4th grading period. Players must also have a current sports physical on file with the school to tryout or play. 6th grade Band – Parent Info meeting
Thursday, February 11 at 6:00 PM we will have an informational Zoom meeting for all new 6th grade band members and their parents. We will be giving out information on how to get an instrument for band, which starts the week of February 22. All 6th grade band students should attend with their parent to get the correct information on time. Anyone that cannot attend this Zoom meeting can contact me through email ([email protected]) and I will get the information to them.

WIN Time Activities – Beginning Monday, Feb. 8th
WIN Time Activities for Both Remote and Hybrid Students – Beginning Febrary 8th
students should log into Freckle during WIN Time. Our first week all students will only complete Math work. Under the Math section, you will choose adaptive Math. Students can choose any category in this section preferably the suggested choice. This also applies to Remote Only Students – please make sure to send your remote students a message which includes expectations of working on this activities for 30-45 minutes, 4 days each week.

Course Recovery and Opportunities for Students failing 3 or more courses for this year
Our district promotion policy requires students to pass 3 out of their core classes (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies) for the school year to be promoted to the next grade level. Letters were mailed home and included with student report cards for students in danger of not being promoted. If your child received this letter please sign and send the copy to school with your child on Tuesday or Thursday (if they are a hybrid student). If your child is remote you can mail or bring in by school this week.
