Chase Middle News for Week of September 14th – 18th

Chase Middle News for Week of September 14th – 18th

We appreciate your assistance in making our first week having students go very well.  We are looking forward to a great second week!

10 more student days until end of 1st report card period

It is hard to believe we only have 10 student days before the end of the 1st report card period ends on September 25th.  Parents, have your student access their grades on each of their 6 courses on their Canvas page.  Unfortunately, we have some students not completing work and failing one or more classes at this time.  The state is requiring normal grading procedures and we will be following our local promotion and accountability policy for this school year.  Parents are reminded you can request a “parent account” to monitor assignments completed, read announcements, and monitor your child’s grades.  Go to the Chase Middle homepage under the “Parents and Students” section then “Parent Resources” to set this account up.

Free Take Home Meals

Reminder to parents about student meal avialbility.

Hybrid Students – Hybrid students have the option to take home 3 meals on the last day they attend each week. (Usually Tuesday for Group A and Friday for Group B). This includes 3 lunches, 3 breakfasts, and milk and juice.

All Remote Students can pick up 5 days worth of meals every Wednesday at Chase High School from 10am -1pm.

Car Riders:  All Car riders must be dropped off at the front of the building using the Main Entrance.  Parents need to pull up one of the three drop off areas. Students are not permitted to exit the vehicle before temperature is checked.  Students with temperatures above 100.4 will not be allowed to exit the vehicle.  Parents of car riders should not drop off and leave students before required health screening.

**No student should arrive before 7:20am as they will not be permitted to enter the building.  There will be no waiting area available. **

Bus Riders:   Beginning Monday, bus rider parents are reminded to complete and send a paper copy of the “Bus Attestation form” before a student can be admitted onto the bus each day they ride. Driver’s have extra copies of these forms to students on their first day riding the bus. Temperatures will be checked again, at the school, before entry.  Students who fail the entry check must be picked up by a parent/guardian immediately.

Breakfast, Lunch, and outside food deliveries:

No charge for student breakfast and lunch.  Upon arrival and completion of required health screening, students will report directly to their first period of the day.  A grab-and-go breakfast opportunity will be given to students on the way to their classrooms. Meals will be eaten in classrooms and not in the cafeteria.  The menu for Tuesday is pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, vegetables, and milk.   We can not accept any food deliveries from outside of the school.  Please make sure to tell any family members who have typically brought or sent food to schools during lunch period.

Charge iPad Each Evening:  Please make sure your hybrid student charges their iPad the evening before attending their assigned days at school.
