Chase Middle Student and Parent News – May 11th  – May 15th

Monday, April 27th will be day 32 of remote learning assignments.

We realize this remote learning process has been stressful both on students and parents.  We want to say a big “Thank you” to everyone continuing to work on their assignments.  Students continuing to complete assignments and communicate with your teachers will be best prepared for school when we return in August.  Beginning this week will visiting students who are continuing to work hard and stay engaged in learning.  We will be placing a yard sign in their yard to recognize our appreciation.  These signs will be collected by our administration and moved to other homes each week.  Please make sure to post a picture of your child standing by the sign on social media and share the Chase Middle Facebook page!

Next School Year Starting Date for Students – Monday, August 17th, 2020.

Governor Cooper recently announced our date for return to school.  If the Covid-19 situation continues to improve over the summer our projected return date for students will be Monday, August 17th.  Please note this is one week earlier than our previously approved calendar for next school year.  Our Board of Education and district office is developing a new calendar with these new State guidelines.  This will be shared out on the RCS website once approved.

8th grade reminders for High School Athletics, Band, and Registering for Classes

8th grade students are reminded to check their Canvas messages and the Chase High School page to see information concerning football, cheerleading tryouts, and band and color guard information.  We also have many 8th grade students who have not registered for their classes for next year.  Please contact Ms. Turner if you need any assistance with registration.

Have a great week!
