CMS Update from Mr. Byrd - Parent Permission for Video Lessons with Teachers

Parents,
During this Remote Learning phase, we would like to be able to stay connected to your student through video and/or voice conferences. RCS has approved the use of Google Meet and/or Zoom for this interaction. Due to the age restriction of 13, we will need to have your consent to be able to communicate with your student in this manner. Allowing this interaction will help us be better able to answer questions, teach/review concepts and share instruction for your student. Please understand that your consent will allow your student to be in a video/voice conference with only the other students within their classroom. Thank you for considering this option as part of our Remote Learning package.

Students will not need to create an account with Zoom. They should have the app on their iPad if it has been online over the past few days as it was pushed out by our county's tech department.

Your student's teachers will share by tomorrow (March 24th) a Google form through either your student Canvas Classes or Remind. Please plan on completing the survey when you receive it. If you have any questions please let us know.

Thank You
