CMS News for March 23rd - 27th

Chase Middle News for the week of March 23rd – 27th

Thank you for all you are doing to support your child during this time of transition.  I am thankful to be part of a nation that has continually faced and overcame these types of challenges throughout our history. As our National Anthem reminds us we are the “land of the free and home of the brave”.  Let’s continue to support each other through these times.  Please contact the school and let us know any assistance you need for your child.

Canvas CMS Announcements Course

Students and parents, please make sure you have “accepted” the CMS Announcements course in Canvas.  Students will receive information and announcements throughout each week on this platform.

Remind App for teacher and grade level communication with Parents

8th grade parents, check your child’s CMS announcements page for information to join the Remind.com group to receive announcements from your grade level.  6th and 7th grade already has this process in place.  Parents in all grade levels are encouraged to join this free service to keep up with your child’s information.

Student Assignments on iPad

Students have assignments on the Canvas Platform to complete for 2 weeks.  Students need wifi to log-in and download these assignments.  Students do NOT need internet to complete these assignments.  Students will also need to be connected to the internet to submit these assignments.  There are optional activities for students to complete and use if they DO have internet connectivity.

Each RCS school has free wifi available 24 hours per day in their parking lots. Look for the signs around the parking area for this free service.

Many cell phone companies, churches, and businesses in our community are now offering free Wi-Fi.  There is a list of some of these places on the rcsnc.org web site.  Go to the Remote Learning section.  Click on communication and support section for a list of these Wi-Fi places.  https://www.rcsnc.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=1695132&type=d&pREC_ID=1853135
